My Reflection Poem by Deborah Ashdown

My Reflection

Rating: 5.0

As I stand and gaze at my reflection.
I see beauty beyond a saddened face.
Tears are flowing gently down.
I only sense my tears, for they are invisible.
Like a mask I wear daily to hide my sorrow.
Fooling every-one with-in my grasp of society.

My reflection is only a self portrait.
Only portraying the outer visibilities.
The inner beyond repair, polluted to the core.
If you could reflect on my past experiences.
I would be gazing at a different picture.
As I stand and gaze at my reflection

Dear Deborah You may not be able to see the beauty but from here it's crystal clear. You are beautiful, you …are… beautiful, and YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL again. Don’t be fooled by what you see It's all a series of things that happen or have happened to us. It’s not the real us for we were made within a beautiful image, here to endure and to overcome anything if not then why would we ever question what has happened to ourselves. God Bless and please I would Ask you to look in that mirror again.this time open yourself to the image. You may be surprised God Bless Love Duncan
