Going to the forest to see my boy.
He's tough as a piece of stiff alloy.
Though he's alert of approached decoy,
He won't see me coming with a ploy.
The fire burning in the log cabin,
He pulled down the black-out curtain.
Door steps lead to a steely trap.
Snow white, bloody red, what a madcap.
I hold the pike and make it sprint.
On the woodshed wall a pretty print.
Blood bursts forth and hits my cheek,
As I stare at the poor pale sheep.
Like a rock he sinks in the stream.
I'd fill the stream before I sleep.
To my elbows I rolled the sleeves,
Wade through the brook as I please.
I went to the Forest on my own
To make him harvest what he's sown.
I went to the forest, I got the job done.
Now I'm back, happy new year everyone!
