My Rhapsodies Of Nostalgia Poem by Madison MAHARAJ

My Rhapsodies Of Nostalgia

My body tenses then falls back into euphoria,
When the familiar sweet sounds of bliss,
Enter my longing ears.

My eyes shutter close,
Once the feeling encapsulates my body,
And makes it sway,

Suddenly, the song turns into a time machine,
Tears swell in my eyes,
When did I suddenly lose everything?

I wipe my pain away,
And re-enter the rhapsodies of nostalgia,
The sound, so sweet yet so condescending
