My Scorpion Poem by Kevin Patrick II

My Scorpion

Rating: 5.0

You were the scorpion I loved
And though I knew I'd feel your sting
There was no one who had the touch
To make my coal heart burn and sing

I saw reflections in your armour
Which made a vulnerable being
And though I knew you were cold blooded
you made me feel as I were seen

And although I feel your venom
Scalding acid through all my veins
There's no one else Id give the pleasure
Of allowing me this lovely pain

you had a touch that sent me to stars
Leaving a mark of all the pretty scars
