My Snowy Angel Poem by Thor Manchester

My Snowy Angel

As she trudges through the veiled path,
frosty powder fills her jean cuffs.
Slowly and surely her freezing feet carve
prints to follow along the steeped bluffs.

Minute drifting white angels kiss her crimson cheeks
as she braves the harsh way.
Drifting into the far distance her grace and beauty
dance my eyes into following her ballet.

Such tender steps fill my ears,
creating the rhythm to my hearts tempo.
Her soft cold fingers trace my weathered knuckles,
causing my pulse to peak and plateau.

Oh how she melts my heart,
she warms my core hotter then coal.
With the bitter cold all around her,
she still slips and melts into my soul.

Her giggles fill the white emptiness all around us,
her breathe a whisper on my neck.
I dream to only kiss her every day,
But time only permits a rain check.

Colder and colder yet warmth fills my body,
she's out of sight but not out of my heart.
My entire being will yearn till
we are no longer apart.

She is so delicate that I expect to never feel her again,
that some other wind will pick her up and carry her away.
My sweet snowy angel will always have me,
no matter what she does I will love her till the end of our days.
