My Sonnet Poem by Aimee Rozen

My Sonnet

A star that twinkles in the sky shines bright.
A wink as if it almost knows my lie.
A flicker in the darkness of the night.
It follows me as if it were a spy.
My words that I have tried to pass as true,
Are not beyond the goddess of the sky.
The only one who understands is you.
The only one who sees beyond my lie.
Those lies have made me who I am today.
But the night knows all the right things to say.
