My Sorrowful Heart Poem by Carla Ruth Finke

My Sorrowful Heart

Rating: 5.0

My heart is full in these days of strife
When thoughts not voiced are like a sharp knife!
My sorrowful heart is full of despair
The cuts are deep, will never repair! I wonder why each day and night
My sorrowful heart has no respite.
"Tis true I pray to God above
"Fill me with love, fill me with Love." My heart is full, so full of Love
The thoughts are voiced, but not like a Dove.
So each day my sorrowful heart
Sinks down to the valley, without words to impart! Sometimes I wonder
What happens to Love,
So scorned and abolished
Given to us by God above.
