My Spirit Dies Poem by Anonymus Girl

I dont want to go to sleep yet
Dont tell me to ly down
This worlds been dead for a long time
Before my feet first touched the ground

The doctors say you wont wake up
They say I wont walk ever again
My world is collapsing all around me
Why is my life at its end?

I wish that I could walk over to your bed
And your life suddenly be renewed
Things dont work like that I know
I just want to be able to save you

To walk along a street with you
Or feel you hold my hand
Stand together under a parks tree
Walk along a beach, build castles of sand

This world was dead before I was born
But I never felt that until now
Why the elderly lady never smiled
I always thought she was a cow

I realise now that she felt her world collapse
The man she loved was gone
She was left without her legs
And she'd never done anything wrong

The doctors say you wont wake up
And so, neither will I
This world feels so dead now I'm alone
Without you my spirit will die
