My Stares Poem by Ash Skandarsky

My Stares

Do you notice the weight of my stares?
The way I smile and know I care,
I love you very much,
It hurts to see you cry,
Also how you sometimes just walk on by,
Every time I see you my heart swells
But never will I be able to ask or be able to tell,
How much I feel for you.
I try to give you comfort whenever you feel blue,
This is very true,
Only God knows how much I wish to show
How you set my heart a flow.
Do you like me? Do you even care?
Do you notice the weight of my stares?
You tell me your problems with your life,
And I try with all my might,
Not to get mad, but I’m standing right here!
To ease all of your pains and worst fears,
No matter what I do you don’t seem to notice.
Oh I love you very much
And you’re scent sends my lust a flare,
Do you even notice the weight of my stares?
You’re beautiful yet you do know it,
Your smile brightens my day,
You’re broken and that’s what I try to fix,
But every time I try to ask,
You’re never there, or you don’t stay,
To get you to know my feelings is my biggest task.
My heart how it burns,
Just for one touch, one turn.
Don’t you see? My heart can no longer bare,
How you never notice the weight of my stares.
