My Stomach Aches Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

My Stomach Aches

My stomach aches
With misfortune
And tidings
That follow quick.

In succession
Medusas fly
Across the threatening skies
Threatening.

Pacific peaceful the houses
Fringe of the ancient
Town sleep to-night
Before thunder and lightning
