My Story Poem by Joanna Hamilton

My Story

Rating: 4.5

My story I will share with you
But only just a bit
A tiny portion of my life
But you will live in it

I was born like many others
With a mother and a dad
But unlike all the others
I was always sad

A lonely child with no friends
That’s exactly who I was
And from that child, as so few know,
I became a dove

I am wild and free
No fences to keep me in
I will fly until I know
For sure exactly who I am

A graceful, fragile young lady
I was meant to be
A tomboy, I became a disappointment
As I’m sure you see

My story I have shared with you
But only just a bit
A tiny portion of my life
And you have lived in it
