My Timer Poem by Abiodun Adiat

My Timer

You have lived all your life
To tune us to time
To give us the guide
And keep us alert
Your service is endurance itself

You are commitment itself
A dignified servant
In spite of you serving without rewards
When we are here
You are here

As we bid you farewell
Go well
Our hope is not to replace you
Because you are simply irreplaceable
Our timeless companion
