My Town Poem by Garba Ado Ibrahim

My Town

My town oh! My great town i come to pay the homage. May i ask your pardon though you invade my mind with your great image? I can not explain you how much i love you since from the childhood and i took some pledge, when i grow up i will show you my love with the pen and its passage. My pride is my town may your ears on the ground i am sending this message, praying for more health security the peace i do not hold you the grudge. My town you are the solar system revolved by the planets i owe you alot, and i am happy my fear is strangled you owe me not. I was born and cared by my shields in you, i grew and trained how to hold my pen in you, i cry i laugh i smile and frown in you, uncountable number of properties and resource i wasted you, and above all i have been living in you. Indeed, my town you are the diamond stone. You take your child and others' born. Your obedient child i remain i promise my town. Long life oh! My town the town of towns, and the home of all towns. In peace i leav you, and i do love you.
