My Undying Fire Poem by Laurina Belle

My Undying Fire

You may knock me down with your dirty words,
But I'll look at you as if you're absurd.
You can spread rumours and taunt me with your lies,
But I have a fire inside that'll never die.

And when you think you make me cry real hard,
I actually laugh like trees grow money in my backyard.
Your words may be sharp like broken glass,
But I think your trickery will soon pass.

And your eyes may be full of deceit and deception,
But you look at me with a biased perception.
You want to put out my burning light,
But I know the difference from wrong and right.

You're just a tyrant trying to tear me in half,
But please realise that you're being daft.
you see, I have a fire that'll never die,
So whenever you come to me I'll just say 'bye'.
