My Universe Poem by Charnen Postrano

My Universe

Dearest, darling, my universe.
Have you ever gone to the celestial world?
I am willing take you there while holding your hands, my lover.
Can we go to the moon together and plant our flag and be the first lovers?

Let's go to the stars and wish we'll last forever.
Let's go to the nebula and compare our love to its beauty.
Let's go to Saturn and place a ring in our fingers.
We'll go everywhere and fly together, hand in hand.

Are you willing to help me build our rocket under the shooting stars?
Are you willing to face the asteroids that is ready to kill us?
Kill our love, kill our dreams; crash our future.
Are you willing to be sad with me, my lover?

Let's count the stars and see if all of them twinkle just like our eyes.
Look at the stars, are there words engraved?
If yes, that is you. I am talking to the stars about you.
Let's run together, my runner; just don't let go, for I will perish in this universe, my lover.
