My Valentine Poem by Casey Gochnour

My Valentine

So it's that time of year again, when love searches for one,
To bring them happiness, to make their day fun.
Well it's that time of year again, and I'm searching for you,
To make this day of the year my dream come true.

So here I am for you, seeking your approval,
I swear we'll have a good time trying not to be frugal.
Whatever it takes for that smile on your face,
And for you and me to get in each other's space…

I want today to flow like the range of the tide,
It'll have it's highs and lows, we need no real guide.
You and I know how to make a day work,
Especially these when most of our duties we shirk.

I wouldn't say it's throwing the day away,
But I don't care what happens as long as you stay,
Right here with me in my loving arms,
And maybe feel a fire from my burning charms…

Today will be perfect, no matter how it goes,
Whether we play with toes or put on no clothes,
It won't matter if all day you just pose,
And then I'd come to you and steal your nose.

I'll love today for what it is,
It won't be compared to her day or his.
It'll be our day, but this time it's our job,
To love completely and make body parts throb…

So on this day I'd love to ask you so,
Although I have a feeling you already know.
Hannah, I want to know if today you'll be mine,
If not today then forever, my valentine?
