My Village - Poem by Z.I. Mahmud

My village is enchanting
It is charming
By what?
By the nature
River is surrounding my village
The paddy and jute fields are seen all over the year
The haphazard paths are used by people to pass the fields
The farmers are busy sowing their seeds
Planting their crops
Fertilizing their crops
Cleaning the crops
Cutting grasses for the domestic animals
The dairy farm is seen all around
These are the cows, goats, hens, cock,
And fish farms
The fishermen are sailing across the rivers
To catch fish
The local markets called 'haats' are busy
The sellers are busy selling their goods
The customers are busy for bargaining
The weathers are very calm
Sometimes so hot, sometimes so rain, sometimes so cold
This is my village
My sweet village home...........
