My Vote My Hope Poem by JOSEPH MABIJA

My Vote My Hope

Nations begging the maker in their anthems
the melody is war rhythms
Poverty attacks like pythons
Squeeze life out of its victims
Days ends exactly the way they begin
A tear dropp and nothing on my gain
Hoping dearly my vote can end my pain

President’s name is in the black book by right
For scavengers to take a bite
Now my voice can easily be misinterpreted
If peace fails I will resort to war
Because I can’t stand and watch whilst my walls falls
but for kids’ sake its peace I hope for
hoping dearly my vote can end my pain
