My White Flag Is Out Poem by Jhayvee M

I’m drowning in my ocean of tears
I’m exhausted and can no longer swim
But this ocean won’t get any deeper
Because the well of my tears is drying out

I have no more tears to cry
I have no more strength to stay afloat
I’m in the point of giving up hope
I can fight these raging waves no more

I’m very weak, wounded and scarred
Weak, because this recurring battle has exhausted me
Wounded, because this battle I have fought had hit me hard
And scarred, because the pain it inflicted to my heart has never healed

I surrender, I give up, and now my white flag is out
I’ve tried so many times ending up with no luck
So I’ll never get into any battle anymore
Because in this battle called love
I always end up with a broken heart
