My White Picket Fence Poem by Jordan Cantafio

My White Picket Fence

I feel so different than everything around me.
So out of place as if I don't belong
Trapped inside my mind, my prison the bars made of rage
How can I escape this torture without tearing out this page
To end this chapter, to end it all
How can I conclude this book without losing my soul
The words they change, the title remains the same
A martyr for no difference, a hero with no name
So lead me to my casket, my white picket fence
& as all things live in remembrance I shall only forget
What it was to live, the pain we feel to die
Your shattered embrace..
My lonely cry..
