My Will Poem by Joy Mitra

My Will

Rating: 4.3

My course is long
I go through lush greens
I go through dry gold

You can neither fathom the length of my past
Nor can you measure the depth of my soul
If you set sail with me I will make your journey serene
If you sail against my might I will leave you enervated and your kin bereaved

You can stand on the edge and watch me crush against boulders on the way
You can pretend that I am part of everything and therefore I am nothing
Law of the nature is such neither will ommit my existence

My course is set
I came to the fore where I was cold
I will merge where I am warm
One way or the other I will stir your blood

In the end you will witness my Will
It is infinite
It can quench your thirst
Or it can flow nonetheless
