My Word Poem by Alfred Ramos

My Word

Rating: 5.0

My word is my armor
With thee I protect you
My tongue is my sword
With which I can direct you

Choose carefully
Eyes opened wide
Tiptoe softly
Shadows do not hide

My word is my swagger
If you can handle the truth
My stare cuts like a dagger
Slicing remorse like a blind sleuth

Decide your fate
Heart in your hand
Dance to my music
As I lead the band

My word is my legacy
It stands on its own
I will feed you no delicacy
Nor lead you to the unknown

What you have heard
Is nothing absurd
It’s what is preferred
My word is my word
