Mysteries Poem by Rose McLaughlin

Mysteries

(Wrote this one back in 2010.)

A dream is just a dream,
A thought is just a thought,
If you try to speak a word,
You might as well have not.
But when you write it down,
It all becomes so loud.

People start to hear you,
Hear the words you cry,
Of broken dreams,
And silly things,
You wish you had forgot.
And if you write them down,
It never is the same,
As the strength they truely were,
Deep in side your thoughts.

Oh, hear my dreams,
My thoughts and my cries.
Oh, hear my heart,
When it's crying for a crowd.
Even when it's dark and cold,
When all seems lost, seems dead and old.
If you just hear me,
You'd find my through.
If you hear me,
The notes become the song.

A dream is just a dream,
A thought is just a thought,
If you try to speak a word,
You might as well have not.
But when you write it down,
It all becomes,
So loud,
So so loud.

So hear my dreams on broken wings,
And hear my heart as it cries,
Hear my thoughts that scream so loud,
Listen close, all of you,
Open up and let this through.
Cause it feels so dark and feels so cold,
Just destroy the dead and warm the cold,
Save my dreams,
Save my thoughts,
Save my heart,
And save my mind.
Oh, won't you save my soul.

Cause a dream's not just a dream,
And a thought's not just a thought,
If you try to speak a word,
You might get quite a shock,
Because when you write it down,
It's not always so loud,
But if they read it first,
And truely hear it out,
A real suprise is found,
When they sing it out.

So sing me,
Sing with my heart,
With my dreams,
And with my thoughts.
My silly heart,
And crazy mind,
And hear my words aloud,
And share them with a crowd.

Not just me and not just you,
Lets make them ours,
Keep them new.
Make them see,
Not just you,
Not just me,
But our thoughts and our dreams,
Our heart and our mind,
Our soul is one combined.

So share with me,
Share these dreams,
These thoughts and this mind,
This heart and soul.
Don't write it down,
Just sing it loud,
For the crowd,
Make them see,
It's not just me...
