Naked Truth Poem by Rachel Butler

Naked Truth

Rating: 5.0

(Dedicated to the unknown gardener)

If another suitor should my hand seek,
set the planets on, alert!

? Dares who¿

He is deserving of only me

as I am for him.

Reading the lyric put me in mind of D.H. Lawrence's 'Lady Chatterley's Lover'. Gardeners can be romantic characters too. A brilliant cameo.

It almost makes me think you are trying to write the addendum to the Song of Solomon. Very short but direct and to the point.
