Marriage Poem by Rachel Butler

Marriage

Rating: 4.2

(Dedicated to the unknown gardener)

A servant to my heart,
face and body washed in dew that 'morn.

My liege held my hand and took my heart,
faithfulness, honesty shone in his eyne.

My heart given will never convert,
love was anchored ever 'morrows.

Never doubt my love the waxing, waning
through to caducity of our years.
