Nakedness. Poem by Tom Allport

Nakedness.

Leaving doors and windows open
Careless ex tenants they
The house now empty
Will soon fall into decay
Inside dark as night
No place for children to play
No more raised voices
That bellowed before
Just the sound of silence
Echoing from floor to floor
Only nakedness and vacancy
Is at its core.
