Native Poem by Butch Decatoria

Native

(Grandfather says that there's a silent language,
Unspoken with words, yet loudest felt. Without heart
Cannot hear.)

There's more to these feelings
More than what's been heard from old,
Or learned from dance and song that told
The Universe of our creation
There's more to love than affectionate touch
To goddess give all devotion

To have felt so much emotion
Overcome by her love, divine
There's more to the rain than from the eyes,
From long gone cries
From wolf to the storm's thunder above
I spirit walk to know

The truth of
God's Love...
