Natural Beauty Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Natural Beauty

A rainbow has an ending,
And a beginning too!
But even in its’ splendor,
It’s just a-passing thru!

A mountain stands majestic, tall,
And seems to touch the sky.
But someday even it shall fall,
And then tumble down in size.

A river has a peaceful sound,
As it travels round the bend.
But one day on a distant shore,
Its’ path will finally end.

A butterfly will spread its’ wings
And flutter toward the sky.
But it shall live just a few days
And sorrowfully has to die.

But there’s a beauty I’ll tell you of,
That’s been here from the start.
It flows from you and through me too.
It’s the LOVE found in your heart!
