Natural Feelings Poem by Christian Hayes

life changing
mind blowing
we never notice it until it comes
and we see it
all the difference it makes
just to see the beauty of life in its natural state
untouched by yet a single finger
animals thrive
and the trees are well aware that they are lucky

then when are forced to leave
it sinks into you like a desire
and can only be let out with a single tear
along side a cry for help

once you return home its all the same
nothing is how it was before
only the memories remain in the darkness of your mind
and they are surrounded with the dark thoughts
that harvest at your every moment of life

if only it would have stayed
and you could go back and take that single breath
yet once again
you could feel free
