Nature Poem by Julia Pickard

Nature

A flash
A thunderous crash
Rain pounding on the ground
I can hear it all around
Silence nowhere can be found

Crashing, pounding, raging fight
Darkness now comes alight
Stormclouds racing out of sight
Golden orb up above
Shining now on all you love

Everywhere a vibrant green
Covered in a glistening sheen
Everything so pristine
Waiting for the moment when
Animals emerge from their dens

But they stay as silent night
Sweeps the forest out of sight
