Nature Is Grand Poem by Phil Smith

Nature Is Grand

Lazing on grass
Manicured into lawn
Spring sunshine abounds
Warm and relaxing

A couple of butterflies
Taking a stroll
Flying all around
Don't have a care

The yapping of a pup
Pulling hard on his lead
Taking his young friend
For an afternoon walk

Bees busy at work
Flower to flower
Gathering an offering
For their beloved queen

A hard working fellow
Busy rolling a crumb
An ambitious ant
Heading home for a feast

Seagulls and pigeons
Families playing happily
Lovers hand in hand
Fat ladies riding bikes

Ponds guarded by lillies
Frogs saying hello
Bright colourful flowers
Tempting many romeos

This is heaven
I lower my book
Onto my face
Enjoy the many sounds
