Nature's Poet Poem by DM W

Nature's Poet

The poet calmly
Studies the myths and legends
Of flowers and trees
He's Nature's prophet
In word and deed. O we need
His humble kind now
More than ever, in a world
That doesn't dare to
Dream, but coldly calculates
Every possible
Move. Those who err on the side
Of caution in key
Matters of the heart and soul
End up destroying
All that is life enhancing.
Those who search for gold,
Rather than fruits of wisdom
Find themselves haunted,
And then hypnotised, by the
Serpent's deadly eyes
Yet the true poet
Continues on his long road
Towards the Light.
Unperturbed by distractions.
