Natures Power Poem by Andrew Matthews

Natures Power

The rain came down
The sea wore a frown
The little boat went up and down
The waves were crashing up and inside.

On the shore the rocks were shrieking
As the tidal wave came in.
And then the people running, running for their lives
As the Sumami reaped an inexurable crop.

Ten thousand miles away
The ground was full of holes
As the ground turned to liquid
The building came crashing down.

And the people there too
Survivors few.
Trapped in the rubble
Like an insect and a shoe.

Natures awesome power
Relentless and indiscriminate
Claims so many...yet
Frightens so few.
