Near The River.
Near the river we will walk
from sunrise till evening.
tell me about your love
that's no more in secret.
Lanterns glow with the light,
and you smile at me,
scenery is - like a dream,
where we don't wake up.
In our minds there is a screen,
it reflects the world,
although it is curved and wee -
happiness goes on.
Usually people don't feel it,
but on day like this
we while walking by the river -
found ourselves in it.
and it is surrounding us
in enclosed ring.
and the world embraces us -
you and me teamwise!

Мы гуляем у реки
от зари до вечера,
расскажи мне о любви
да не засекреченной.
Фонари горят огнем,
ты мне улыбаешься,
декорации - как сон,
где не просыпаешься.
В головах у нас экран,
мир в нем отражается,
хоть он искажен и мал -
счастье продолжается.
мы не чувствуем его,
но сегодня днем
мы, гуляя у реки -
очутились в нем.
окружило оно нас
замкнутым кольцом.
и весь мир стал обнимать
нас с тобой вдвоем!
I see my mom smiling at him and I heard a song from his point. And it easily flowed like this.
I also heard music - but now I don't remember it at all!
This is a smiling poem and exchanges smiles with its reader. The whole poem is there in the first stanza: we get the welcoming nature of the river scene which we can enjoy along with the two people, but it is the theme of love introduced which is so surprising and wonderful - TELL ME ABOUT YOUR LOVE THAT'S NO LONGER A SECRET. This is a liberating moment. But love is not static, it's an active, interactive experience and that's what the following stanzas show as the two p-l-a-y o-u-t their joy in a teamlike spirit. It's a refreshing poem!

You can't hear the music that was in the dream. It vanished after fulfilling its task in adding harmiony to the parts of the dream, binding them together so that the dream could cohere as TOTAL HAPPINESS AND CALMNESS. The poem has revived your parents' early love and those of us who know this event as a poem know there was a real love between them, that it shaped a world of happiness around them, that they deserved this happiness and you deserve its pure memory - as do I and the other readers who are pulled into this blessed memory. It gives us the confidence to say LIFE IS GOOD TO GOOD PEOPLE.
