Cunning old Grandma! I haven't heard of a chicken neck being a gourmand's delight in Australia, but the wishbone was what the Australian devourers wanted! A delightful poem, my friend. I stumbled across it because I was looking for my own poem called 'Chicken Necks'. Quite a coincidence that both poems involve older ladies, your grandmother and my step-mother, who lived to be in her nineties. I guess chicken necks must be good for you!
