Negative (End Of Me) Poem by Robert Burgan

Negative (End Of Me)

Swallow your golden silence
If you wish to remain complacent
There is a world of cruelty
Addled with suspense and vacant conversations
There is a positive side to you
It reflects the negative end of me
I never wanted to be your enemy
Consumed memories like empty seas
Of salt water to flood my system
The end of me
Is you
The beginning of you
Is free.
