Nerve Ends And Dead Ends. Poem by emily summers

Nerve Ends And Dead Ends.

Constant drain of energy,
vegetive state,
simply existing,
led weights sewn to my eye lids,
adrenaline surge out of stock.

Emotions were numbing,
tears dry,
nothing left to cry,
in the resevoir of my heart,
I nurse the broken pieces.

Frail and vulnerable,
you left me dependant,
you were my life support,
only to turn off.

Wintry blood penetrates,
aching heart won't disconnect,
mind playing films of us together,
stored away in a library.

Emotions reviving,
temporary wrath and fury,
behind a permenant sadness,
originating deep within.
