Nervous Poem by Anisa Tara

Nervous

We wept when it was right,
Held each other too tight,
And laughed until we cried,
When love was not denied,
In the park or by the roadside,
Late into the March night,
Before the wrongs turned the tide,
And cast our love aside,
Despite all we gave and tried,
We cowered and conceded this fight,
All our aimless shots misfired,
Our stone cold hearts crucified,
As we stood by petrified,
On that magnificient hillside,
I turned to look into your eyes,
To say this I am much obliged,
This is where we say goodbye,
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.
