Close your eyes-
Lets pretend that race was never a issue.
Lets pretend that if we kept our eyes closed-
this world would be a better place.
Lets pretend that we was never alone in life.
Lets pretend that we knew how to live life right.
Now lets imagine that our hearts
could never bleed of pain.
Lets imagine that all our hurt could wash away in the rain-
That when troubles come we don't run away because we we're not afraid.
Let us not be afraid to stand alone.
Let us not be afraid to cry alone, to be alone.
But to be strong and overcome all things-
because the reality is-
we were never alone.
Now open your eyes.
