Never Break Your Heart Poem by Chelcie Reaves

Never Break Your Heart

I sit in all my classes
Knowing that after each one I can't see you
I think back on when you were still here
The warmth of your hugs sent chills down my spine
Now when I hug you
my knees begin to shake
and my whole body is weak
I ask how much you like me
You say more than anyone will ever know
You respect my wishes
and you accept me for me
I'm willing to go all the way with you
but only one step at a time
Your not like the others
who expect to hold hands the moment you
say yes
At frist you were to afraid to grab my hand
Or even hold me close
I told you it was alright
and ever since I was in you arms
together or even apart
I will never let you go
and I'll never break your heart
