I never thought you could make me feel so low
But oh! You are so cold
I never thought you could hurt me so bad
But oh! you already have me looking so sad
I never thought the hate you had for my mother could affect me
Bu oh! How could this be
I never thought my own flesh in blood could have so much hate
But oh! My issues of trust are of late
People look and say everything will be alright
But they don't honestly know how long I've been in this fight
I'm 18 years old, last quarter in High School
and I'm sitting in the center feeling so blue

I disguise my true feelings and emotions
Conceal my true identity in cosmetics and lotions
Use narcotics as a way to escape
And alcoholic possessions I can't erase
Use sexual desires to feel a moment of ecstasy
But stop and put a piece of myself in reality
I never thought a father could treat a child so cold
When all I wanted was your love and someone to hold
