In my mind
These moments of your perfection
Walking along beside you
Knowing in my heart
It wouldn't last
Because we were going
In unknown directions
Still
I clung to the moment
And locked it away
As if somehow it could save me
Someday
Now
Here I stand
A whole lifetime later
With something I just need to say
'I've missed you'
