Never Trod. Poem by Tom Allport

Never Trod.

I am none
A memory lost
Self consumer of woes
Oblivion lost, shadows tossed
Into scorn and noise
Living waking dreams
Where there is life
Of life's esteems
That I loved
Stranger than the rest
For scenes never trod
A place to abide
In childhood untroubled
Below the sky.
