Never Will I Poem by Samantha Campbell

Never Will I

When did we become
so mindless

A wasteful society
wasteful because
we forget what it is to dream

We lost touch of who
we were meant to be

We fall into the traps
of mindless reality

When did we lose sight
of true beauty

Don't you know
its not made up faces
plastic like barbie

When did we become
so afraid to shine

Forget we were built
unique yet divine

When did we allow
our words to be silenced

Accepting the streets
covered in blood
filled with violence

When did we forget
that its not ok
to live without
evolving everyday

When did we forget
our souls become fake
instead of our own mold

Ask yourself

When did it become okay
to lose sight

To never deviate your mind
just moving left or right

When did it become the normal way
to live with a mundane mind everyday

A wasteful society
but I wont allow it
to take over me

NEVER
will I dumb down
my dreams

I'm cloaked in who I should be
forever evolving

So take a moment for you

Ask the right questions

You will see the truth
