New Love Poem by Mary Erlyn Joyce Millonte

New Love

Yesterday I am quitting,
My heart were almost dying,
Tears from innocent eyes were flowing,
There's an open wound keeps on bleeding.

It said, it will never beat again,
A heart full of hatred and pain,
There's no one to blame,
But my poor heart who's so lame.

Today, there's this mysterious guy,
But I may not seem to buy,
Maybe his love was just a lie,
I don't want to fall again that high.

But his intention was clear,
To care and love me so dear,
He promised to be always near,
That there's nothing to fear.

Now I am giving my heart,
Hoping not to be apart,
It may be a new and fresh start,
He brought me back to the top of the chart.
