New Potatoes Poem by Debora Soramaki

New Potatoes

Below the Arctic Circle
Grows a fisherman's delight
The joy of new potatoes
Served with fish made it so right
Melted butter with fresh dill
Lingonberries on the side
Pumpernickel, had your fill?
Stomachs growing big and wide
Add a keg of home made brew
Deck of cards to play the game
And when the game was through
They'll do it all the same.
