New Start - Poem by tori trentacoste
Several feet above the water,
The desert down below
I look out my window
to the mountains topped with snow
It’s a good day nothing can go wrong
I walk to class with headphones in
As I listen to a song.
It reminds me of the good times.
You can see it my eyes
My love for this is burning
I can’t decide
The new day is beginning
Its time for me to fly
The nature here is calling me
I think I’ll go outside.
The fresh air it is so cleansing
Somehow I feel brand new
When I come home from college
I will know just what to do.
