New Words Fabricated - Poem by Douglas Scotney

Baleph, dalert, galee,
salewife, waleft, valegar,
haleatory,
palexic, malectryon
and talerion
are all fabricated
from words
ending and starting in 'ale'

- and kalembicated:
what you get from over-doing
anything that's good for you.

Waleft's what you say
when the good pen is gone missing,

a malectryon is a tautology,

palexic types go pallid
when caught out having lost the power to read,

and a talerion is one of those stories
in which there's no need to walk or feed.
