New World Poem by Sensuelle Briden

New World

I am sitting next to you,
Writing something on the sand.
I cannot say the world is new,
But I feel new about this land.

It’s like the wind is very wise,
It’s like the ocean knows the truth.
And there’s nothing to revise,
And there’s no wish to get a proof.

The generation trace is what
We call “stardust”; but take a look –
You’ll see new people with no fault.
They are no longer on the hook.
