I decided
I'll live the new year
Undivided

I knew
By the end of the new year
It'll be you

I planned
In the new year
To lend a hand

I wonder
What the new year
Will surrender

I wrote
To myself
A poetic note

It said
Laugh it out
Instead

I laughed
New year's humour
Is short staffed

So I say
In the new year
Hey

Let's change the tone
In the new year
Goners are gone

Press the pulse
New year's laughs are in
It's us.
No fuss.
