New Year Poem by Ragy Sandid

New Year

I decided
I'll live the new year
Undivided

I knew
By the end of the new year
It'll be you

I planned
In the new year
To lend a hand

I wonder
What the new year
Will surrender

I wrote
To myself
A poetic note

It said
Laugh it out
Instead

I laughed
New year's humour
Is short staffed

So I say
In the new year
Hey

Let's change the tone
In the new year
Goners are gone

Press the pulse
New year's laughs are in
It's us.
No fuss.
Ha. Haa. Hush.
